ELECTION RESULTS FOR RETIRED DIRECTOR

      Mike Carey                           281                 59.0%

      Jerry Mattison                      195                 41.0%

                                                     476               100.0%

 

   The Board declared Mike Carey the Retired Director winner with 59.0% of the ballots that were were received.   Mr. Carey will be seated on the Board of Directors at the Annual Meeting on Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at Bryant Square Park at 10 a.m.

  NOMINATIONS RECEIVED FOR A RETIRED AND SURVIVING SPOUSE DIRECTOR

   Nominations for MPRA Directors took place today at our regular monthly meeting.   

Those nominated for the Retired Director Seat currently held by Jerry Mattison were:

  • Jerry Mattison nominated by Ronald Ramerth

  • Mike Carey nominated by Lyle Goodspeed

Those nominated for the Surviving Spouse Director Seat currently held by Barbara Schafer-Bernhard were:

  • Barbara Schafer-Bernhard nominated by Larry Ward

   With only one candidate nominated for the Surviving Spouse Director seat, the Board moved to cast a white ballot for Barbara Schafer-Bernhard, and she will be seated for a three-year term at the Annual Meeting on Tuesday, December 8, 2009.

   Ballots for the retired director seat will be mailed on Tuesday, October 20, 2009 and are due back on or before Thursday, November 5, 2009.

   The results of the primary election will be the first order of business at the regular MPRA meeting on Tuesday, November 10, 2009.

   If any candidate receives more than 50% of the vote, that candidate will be declared the winner.  The newly elected Director will be seated for their appropriate terms at the  MPRA’s Annual meeting on Tuesday, December 8, 2009.

       All balloting will be by mail in ballots.  The entire election process will be coordinated by Lurie Besikof Lapidus & Co., LLP, a Certified Public Accounting firm.  The election will be certified and Directors will be seated at the MPRA Annual Meeting on Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at Bryant Square Park at 10 a.m.
